AYP Results (2010-2011)
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is designed to ensure that each year schools and school systems demonstrate continuous improvement toward the goal of 100 percent proficiency in reading and mathematics by 2014, as mandated by the federal No Child Left Behind Act. There are 37 targets that schools must meet annually in order to achieve AYP. If a school does not meet any one of these targets, it will not meet AYP for that year. The Cosmopolis School District did not meet AYP for two of the 37 cells. The first cell was for grade bands 3 through 5 in reading for "All" students while the second cell was for grade bands 3 through 5 in reading for "White" students.
